Ways to Volunteer
Our volunteers have diverse backgrounds and careers. We are plumbers, lawyers, 911 dispatchers, pharmacists, engineers and students – all bringing unique skills to the table. As long as you have the desire to help your community, you will be an asset to our team.
Firefighter
As a volunteer firefighter, you will respond to fire and rescue emergencies in Upper Southampton Township and provide mutual aid to surrounding communities. When you join, you’ll first meet our team and start learning basic firefighting skills, including rescue, hazardous materials, CRP and first aid.
Fire Police
As a fire police officer, your goal is to keep first responders and the public safe at the scene of emergencies. This includes regulating traffic, and protecting firefighting equipment and resident property. Ultimately, you’re allowing firefighters to do their job without the interference of others.
Junior Firefighter
Ages 14-15: You can begin training to become a firefighter by learning different types of equipment and techniques used by our fire company.
Age 16: You can start Firefighter I courses at the Bucks County Basic Fire Academy and gain real-world experience at fire calls by laddering buildings, running hoses and grabbing tools to assist active firefighters.
Age 17: You can start training in live-burn buildings and interior firefighting modules.
Administrative/Support Member
Volunteers in administrative and general support roles assist in everything from administrative tasks and bookkeeping to more physical responsibilities such as maintaining the building, vehicles and property.
I volunteer to protect and serve my community, and to maintain a level of TEAM in my life.
